Wedding couple tell of £1.5m lottery joy
NEWLYWEDS Martin and Hannah Adamson scooped £1.5million on the lottery - just days after changing their numbers to include their wedding date. The couple got married on Sunday, May 4, and yesterday Martin, 28, from Dunfermline in Fife, revealed why it was the luckiest day of his life. He said: "I had been using the same numbers for the lottery for a while and changed when we got married. "I swapped three for four because we got married on the fourth. "I can't remember why I picked three before but all the other numbers were birthdays or old house numbers." They were stunned when their winning line of 4,14,18,24,32 and 40 came up, leaving them with a third share of the £4.4million lotto jackpot. Martin added: "I saw the numbers come up on the television.
Ashlee Simpson sells out wedding pix!
People magazine is reportedly coughing up "well over" a million buckaroos for the rights to Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz's wedding photos. Well, as TMZ points out, that's probably more than she makes from her day job singing. The mag says: "We're thrilled that celebrities continue to choose People as the place for their most intimate photos. We do not comment on specifics of any deals." Geri Halliwell's September wedding
Geri Halliwell is getting married. The former Spice Girls star - who has a two-year-old daughter Bluebell - is planning a September wedding with her backing dancer partner Ivan 'Flipz' Velez. A source told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "Geri has a huge diamond and an even bigger grin on her face now that she and Ivan are marrying. "It's been a whirlwind affair but when you know, you know and she doesn't care if she's criticised for being hasty. "Her daughter loves Ivan and that's the only opinion she cares about." The ceremony will reportedly take place at London's St. Bride's church, often dubbed the 'writer's church' because it is located on Fleet Street the former home of many newspapers, after Geri recently launched a new career as a children's novelist. The source added: "She's always wanted to be a September bride." Geri, who met 'Flipz' during the Spice Girls reunion tour, recently revealed she is considering adopting.

Justin Ruttan, a gay Toronto wedding planner who launched a company catering to homosexual couples in March, supports same-sex marriage. He also supports making money. And, hence, he has a dilemma. In a 4-3 decision yesterday, California's Supreme Court overturned the state's ban on same-sex nuptials, making California the second U.S. state to permit them – and the first to allow them for all Americans regardless of where they live. When the court's ruling takes effect in 30 days, Toronto's same-sex wedding industry will face a new challenge from the Golden State: Gay and lesbian couples from any place in the U.S. will be able to wed anywhere from San Diego to San Francisco. Toronto established itself as perhaps North America's prime destination for gay marriage after it began issuing licences to same-sex couples in June 2003.
